Huge quantity of liquor seized in Odisha Capital, one held

Bhubaneswar: Amid COVID-19 lockdown, the Commissionerate Police today afternoon seized 51.3 litres of foreign liquor in Bhubaneswar and arrested one person in connection with this.

Acting on a reliable information, the Quick Action Team (QAT) and Naypalli police conducted a joint raid in Nilakantha Nagar area behind Passport Office. During the search, the cops seized 51.3 Lts of IMFL of different brands and Rs 28,500 cash.

Also a Mahindra XUV car and a cell phone were seized from the possession of the accused, Biswajit Nayak.

After registering a case at Nayapalli police station, cops are investigating the matter.
