Humane Sagar-Shreya Mishra marital dispute resolved after counselling at police station

Cuttack: The marital discord between singer Humane Sagar and his wife Shreya Mishra was resolved following counselling at the Mahila police station here, today.

Informing about it, Humane Sagar said the dispute has been resolved in the presence of their family members.

Similarly, Shreya said, “All misunderstandings between us have been resolved, thanks to the police officials. We two will stay together now.”

Speaking to media persons, ACP Amitabh Mohapatra said, “Humane Sagar and Shreya will talk to each other during the next 15-20 days. Shreya will then take a decision regarding returning to her in-laws’ place with consent of her guardians. The marital dispute has been resolved. Both want to stay together.”

She was staying at her father’s place following the dispute.

Earlier in the day, the couple appeared at the police station for the purpose of counselling. Some of their family members were also present at the police station during the counselling.

Notably, Shreya had accused Humane Sagar of torturing her physically and mentally after she gave birth to their daughter.

“Humane Sagar used to thrash me and punch in my face. I had sustained injuries on my face. He was consuming liquor excessively. I had advised him to limit the liquor consumption. I had hidden liquor in our house to prevent him from drinking, for which he beat me,” Shreya had said at a press conference.

She had also levelled ‘extramarital affair’ allegation against her husband.

“Entry of a ‘third person’ in our married life led to the discord. It would be inappropriate to reveal the name of that person as we have taken time to resolve the issue amicably,” she had said.

However, the singer had refuted the allegations saying that no such incidents occurred between the two.
