Jhumpura (Keonjhar): I am people's CM and I am accessible to all, said Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi addressing people at a meeting during his visit to his hometown in Keonjhar district.
"As I am your chief minister, I have no issue with meeting anyone. I can meet you directly," he told people.
He said that his first priority is service to people and working for people's interests.
"Since I took charge as the CM, I am sleeping less and meeting people more. All I need is love from people," the CM said.
"Whatever work the previous government failed to deliver in the last 24 years, my government will do in five years. The developmental projects will be expedited, and Odisha will become the No.1 state in the country, he promised.
During his address at Jhumpura, he alleged the previous BJD government of making a conspiracy for his murder in the past for exposing the government's mismanagement in several times.
"People had elected me to the State Legislative Assembly to fight against corrupt system of Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government. I raised many issues and put the government in the dock in last five years. To take avenge, the previous government had planned to kill me. They tried to kill me in a bomb blast at Mandua in Keonjhar. However, by the grace of people, I survived, God saved me. As long as we have blessings from God, we will work for people," he said.
Before heading for his native Raikala in the district, he assured people that not only Jhumpura, but also there will be inclusive development in Keonjhar district.
"I need not to fear for anyone. When Maa Tarini is with me, Lord Baladev Jew is with me, Lord Jagannath is with me, the presiding deity of Jhumpura 'Maa Durga' is with me and I have blessings from people, why should I fear. I promise I will meet you all again," he said asking people send their proposals, suggestions, share their problems over phone or meet him in Bhubaneswar.
