Bhubaneswar: A joyful experience awaits readers as bureaucrat Amrit Rituraj's first collection of poems was recently launched in Bhubaneswar.
A 2015 Odisha cadre IAS officer, Ruturaj, an avid lover of poetry, unravelled his first composition 'Abyakta Akhyara', a Black Eagle publication, with the hope of making it accessible to young minds as love for literature seems to fading away.
The poems dwell on Ruturaj's experience and insight on various aspects of life and society which otherwise cannot find expression. The book is an example of poetry taking over where verbal expression fails to deliver.
In the book, the young bureaucrat expresses his anguish on various issues affecting the society at large. Though a humble beginning with his first foray as an author/poet, he believes his pen would deliver many social messages which would otherwise remain unsaid.
While he is a young poet, his poems do not deal with love which may not be intentional. However, given his compassion, the central theme inadvertently caters towards the neglected and downtrodden sections of the society.
Born on May 10, 1992 in Nabarangpur district of Odisha, Ruturaj spent his childhood in various parts of Koraput district. A student of political science, he graduated from Ravenshaw College in Cuttack and did his post graduation from JNU in Delhi. He currently serves as Collector of Kendrapada district.
