Bhubaneswar: IAS officer Shubham Gupta, who is currently the Municipal Commissioner of Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad Municipal Corporation in Maharashtra, has introduced a unique initiative with visiting cards that have marigold plant seeds embedded in them.
Gupta recently shared pictures of these eco-friendly visiting cards on social media platform X. The bottom of each card carries the message, “This card, when planted, grows into a marigold plant.”
In his post on X, Gupta mentioned, “Everyone visiting my office will now receive this card. It transforms into a beautiful marigold plant when planted.”
Social media users have responded with enthusiasm and praise for Gupta’s innovative idea and dedication to environmental sustainability.
This initiative not only tackles the problem of waste from traditional visiting cards but also encourages greenery and environmental consciousness. By incorporating plant seeds into the cards, Gupta has turned a simple act of sharing contact information into an opportunity to contribute positively to nature.
