IAS Reshuffle in Odisha: Anu Garg appointed new Development Commissioner

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government today appointed IAS Officer Anu Garg as the Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary of Planning and Convergence Department.

The 1991-batch IAS Officer Anu Garg, who is currently serving as the Additional Chief Secretary of Water Resources Department, is allowed to remain in the charge of the department in addition to her own duties.

The office order will be effective from March 1, 2023.

In the major bureaucratic reshuffle in the state, senior IAS Officer Pradeep Kumar Jena has been appointed the Chief Secretary of Odisha.

Pradeep Jena, the 1989-batch IAS officer, is presently working as the Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary of Planning and Convergence Department with additional charge of Agriculture Production Commissioner and Special Relief Commissioner and MD of OSDMA.

He will replace Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, who is to retire on February 28, 2023.
