ICC Men’s T20 World Cup: Team India squad announced

Mumbai/Bhubaneswar: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today announced the Team India’s squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

The 15-member Team India squad will be led by Virat Kohli during the championship.

BCCI Honorary Secretary Jay Shah informed, “Former India Captain MS Dhoni will mentor the team for the T20 World Cup.”

The Team India comprises of Virat Kohli (Capt), Rohit Sharma (vc), KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Rahul Chahar, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Varun Chakravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohd Shami.

The standby players will be Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar.

The Men’s T20 World Cup will be hosted by BCCI in Oman and the United Arab Emirates from October 17 to November 14.

Eight teams will contest the first round including automatic qualifiers Sri Lanka and Bangladesh with the remaining six who booked their spot through the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019.
