ICC Odisha State Council organises its Annual General Meeting for FY 2023-24

Bhubaneswar: The Director of Javastra Technology Pvt Ltd J B Pany, Chartered Accountant and Principal Partner of SRB & Associates Rajib Sekhar Sahoo and Managing Director of Gupta Power Infrastructure Ltd (GPIL) M K Gupta were respectively appointed as the new Chairman, Senior Vice-Chairman and Vice-Chairman of ICC Odisha State Council for the year 2023-24.

New office-bearers of ICC Odisha vowed to work closely with the Odisha Government in making the State a preferred destination for investors.

Javastra chief Pany is an industry veteran with over 40 years of professional experience. He exudes a rare combination of leadership energy, strong passion and far-sighted vision. He proactively fosters entrepreneurship. He has worked as the President of TiE, Bhubaneswar since April 2011 till date. The Indus Entrepreneurs is a non-profitable global network of entrepreneurs and professionals, which was established to foster entrepreneurship and nurture entrepreneurs.

Pany also currently holds a key position as Managing Director of Radiant Telesystems Limited and is the Promoter and Director of MECHEM Pvt Ltd, Director of both Swosti Group and Ortel Group and a partner of SRB & Associates. He was a Trustee in Paradip Port Trust (presently known as Paradip Port Authority) from 2008 to 2010. He was the Director of Andhra Bank from July 2008 to July 2011.

Pany was Director of NTPC Limited – a Maharatna Company of the Government of India from August 2011 to August 2014, Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL) from October 2011 to October 2014, THDC India Limited (Tehri Hydro Development Corporation India Limited) from November 2011 to November 2014 and he was Director of Bank of Baroda from December 2011 to December 2014.

Pany was a co-opted Member of the Committee on Banking, Insurance and Pension of ICAI for the Council during FY 2014-15. He was the President of the Bhubaneswar Chapter of The Indus Entrepreneur having headquarters in Silicon Valley, USA. At present, he is an Independent Director of Indraprastha Gas Limited, an Independent Director of SICOM Limited, an Independent Director of Kalinga Hospitals Limited and a Director of Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation (OSCSC) Limited.

GPIL chief Gupta is a dynamic personality infused with an entrepreneurial spirit. Born on 6th December 1952 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Gupta started looking after the business just after completing his graduation. Since then, it has been a story of unprecedented growth, and his leadership, far-sighted vision and keen business acumen were instrumental in scripting the success story. For his distinguished work, Gupta has been regularly winning awards, recognitions and felicitations from his peers, industrial bodies and the State and Central governments as well. GPIL, under his able leadership, has managed to clock an annual turnover of INR 3,230 crore.

ICC initiatives in Odisha pan the cross-section of business and economic activities in the state.

The Chamber takes pride in its association with the State government and pledges to actively work in sync with the state policy objectives to co-create an emerging Odisha of tomorrow.
