Balasore, May 16:
Inspector in-charge (IIC) of Baliapal police station in Balasore district was today arrested by Odisha Vigilance sleuths for allegedly receiving bribe of Rs 10,000 from an accused not arrest him.

According to reports, the IIC, identified as Surendra Kumar Behuria, was accepting the bribe from Ganesh Chandra Mohapatra, an accused in a land dispute case case.
In the meantime, a Vigilance team led by DSP Sanjay Das Mohapatra caught Behuria red-handed.
Following his arrest, raids were conducted at his houses in Balasore and Binjharpur and government quarters in Baliapal, from where Rs 87,000 was found, informed the DSP.
