Illegal liquor manufacturing unit busted in Odisha’s Rourkela

Rourkela: The Excise department today busted an illegal liquor manufacturing unit in Rourkela town and arrested two persons including a woman.

Acting on a reliable information, the Rourkela unit of the Excise department raided a place in the town. During the search the officials recovered 27 litres of adulterated IMFL, 2.5 litres of Caramel, 10,796 pieces of EAL, 3,460 corks and 515 pieces of empty bottles.

Apart from this, the Excise officials seized one motorcycle from the possession of the two accused.

The unearth of this illegal liquor manufacturing unit is considered as  a major success for the Rourkela unit of Excise department amid the COVID-19 lockdown, said an official.
