IMD forecasts heavy rains in some Odisha districts for next 24 hours; check details

Bhubaneswar: With monsoon trough prevalent, at least six districts in Odisha will witness heavy rainfall at one or two places during the next 24 hours. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre here issued Yellow Warning for next five days, today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD regional centre mentioned, “Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Interior Odisha, South Coastal Odisha and at a few places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha.”

The highest maximum (day) temperature of 37.0oC was recorded at Boudh and the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 22.4oC was recorded at Nuapada in the plains of Odisha.

For Tuesday (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 12.07.2023)

Yellow Warning (Be Updated)- Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam and Puri.

For Wednesday (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 12.07.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 13.07.2023)

Yellow Warning (Be Updated)- Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Dhenkanal.
