Bhubaneswar: Due to the prevalent Monsoon Trough, heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places in four districts of Odisha during next 24 hours. India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre today issued Orange Warning in some districts for the next five days.

In its evening bulletin, the IMD regional centre mentioned, “Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at most places over the districts of South Odisha and at many places over the districts of North Odisha.”

The cyclonic circulation over Northwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height persists. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form over Northwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours.

The highest maximum (day) temperature of 33.8oC was recorded at Baripada and the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 22.2oC was recorded at Nabarangpur in the plains of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be Updated)- Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Angul, Nayagarh, Boudh, Puri and Khurda.

Yellow Warning (Be Updated)- Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Cuttack, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir and Bargarh.
