IMD predicts a spell of heavy rainfall in Odisha from July 5

Bhubaneswar: The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall in several districts of Odisha for at least three days starting July 5 (Wednesday).

As per the IMD prediction, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal and Kalahandi on July 5. The IMD has issued yellow warning in this regard.

Besides, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha on the day, said the IMD in its weather bulletin today.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Nuapada, Kalahandi and Kandhamal on July 6.

This apart, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Bolangir, Bargarh, Boudh, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Angul and Keonjhar on the day, said the IMD.

As per the weather forecast, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of South Odisha and at many places over the districts of North Odisha on July 6.

Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangapur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Bargarh, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Boudh, Angul, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh on July 7.

Similarly, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha on the day, added the IMD.
