IMD predicts dense fog in several Odisha districts for 3 days

Bhubaneswar: The IMD has predicted dense fog in several districts in Odisha for three days starting today (Thursday).

The IMD regional centre has issued yellow warning of dense fog at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Angul, Dhenkanal and Cuttack on Thursday (January 19).

Similarly, shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal and Cuttack on January 19, said the IMD in its midday bulletin.

As per the prediction, dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Koraput on January 20.

Besides, shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada and Koraput on January 20, said the IMD.

One or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Koraput, Kandhamal and Kalahandi are likely to witness dense fog on January 21. A few places in the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nawarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri and Rayagada will witness shallow to moderate fog on the day, added the IMD.

There will be no large change in minimum temperature (night temperature) over the districts of Odisha during next five days, predicted the IMD bulletin.
