Bhubaneswar: With a Low Pressure Area formed over northwest Bay of Bengal off north Odisha coast, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre today forecasted that heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over some districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours.
In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD mentioned, “Low Pressure Area now lies over northwest Bay of Bengal adjoining north Odisha-Gangetic West Bengal coasts with an associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 7.6 Km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards in height.”
The highest maximum (day) temperature of 36.8°C was recorded yesterday at Bargarh and the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 22.6°C was recorded at Angul in the plains of Odisha.
