IMD predicts light rain, thundershower in these Odisha districts on February 11 & 12

Bhubaneswar: With no significant synoptic system lying over the region, light rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over several districts of Odisha on February 11 & 12, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar forecasted today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD mentioned, “Minimum temperatures observed appreciable fall at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, at one or two places over the districts of South Interior Odisha, appreciable rise at one or two places over the districts of South Interior Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were appreciably below normal at a few places over the districts of Odisha, below normal at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, above normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”

Temperature forecast: Minimum (night) temperature is likely to rise gradually by 2oC to 3oC and no large change thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha.

The highest maximum temperature of 34.0°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum temperature of 9.7°C was recorded at Sundargarh in the plains of Odisha.

Light rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Bolangir, Boudh, Bargarh, Subarnapur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

For February 12 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 12.02.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 13.02.2024)

Light rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
