IMD predicts rain in Odisha for next four days

Bhubaneswar: The IMD regional centre here has predicted rainfall activities in Odisha for the next four to five days.

As per the prediction, light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha on September 26.

The MeT centre has issued Yellow Warning of thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Boudh, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur for the day.

As per the forecast, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur districts and at a few places over the remaining districts of Odisha September 27.

The MeT department has issued Yellow Warning of thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Rayagada, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi and Malkangiri on September 27.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha on September 28. Similarly, many places over the districts of South Odisha and at a few places over the districts of North Odisha are likely to witness light to moderate rain or thundershower on September 29,” said the MeT centre in its evening bulletin today.
