Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to witness rain and thunderstorm till March 19, predicted the IMD today.
The maximum temperature (day temperature) is very likely to fall by 2-3 degree Celsius at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next four/five days due to the rainfall activities, said the IMD regional centre here today.
One or two places over the districts of Nayagarh, Rayagada, Kalahandi and Kandhamal in Odisha witnessed light rainfall during the last 24 hours, added the IMD.
March 16: As per the IMD prediction, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at few places over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Deogarh, Angul and at one or two places over the remaining districts of Odisha on March 16.
Similarly, thunderstorm with lightening and gusty surface wind reaching up to 40-50kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj on March 16. Besides, thunderstorm with lightening is very likely to occur at one or two places over the remaining districts of Odisha on the day, said the IMD regional centre in its evening bulletin today.
March 17: Light to moderate rain or thundershower may occur at many places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam and at a few places over the remaining districts of Odisha on March 17, said the IMD forecast.
Besides, thunderstorm with lightening and gusty surface wind reaching up to 40-50kmph may occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Balasore, Jajpur and Bhadrak on March 17. Similarly, thunderstorm with lightening is very likely to occur at one or two places over the remaining districts of Odisha on the day.
March 18: Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha on March 18. Similarly, thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind reaching up to 40-50kmph may occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam and Kandhamal on the day. Thunderstorm with lightening is very likely to occur at one or two places over the remaining districts of Odisha on March 18, said the IMD.
March 19: Light to moderate rain or thundershower may occur at many places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and at a few places over the remaining districts of Odisha on March 19, said the IMD forecast. Besides, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput on the day, predicted the IMD.
