IMD predicts rainfall activities in these Odisha districts on March 7 & March 8

Bhubaneswar: With no significant synoptic system lying over the region, light rain is very likely to occur at one or two places over some districts of Odisha on coming March 7 and March 8, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre forecasted today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD centre mentioned, “Minimum temperatures observed no large change over the districts of Odisha. They were below normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, appreciably above normal at a few places over the districts of Odisha, above normal at many places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, and at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”

Temperature forecast: No major change is likely in the minimum (night) temperature at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next four to five days.

The highest maximum temperature of 37.0°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum temperature of 17.0°C was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.

For March 7 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 07.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 08.03.2024)

Light rain is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

For March 8 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 08.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 09.03.2024)

Light rain is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
