IMD predicts rainfall for four days in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Office of Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) here predicted most of the places, especially coastal districts in Odisha are likely to be lashed by rain and thunderstorm in the next four days starting from Monday.

The rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Jharsuguda, Cuttack, Angul, Deogarh and Sundergarh on Tuesday. Besides, heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajapur and Kendrapara, an IMD bulletin said.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at few places over the districts of North and South coastal districts in Odisha from 8.30 am on February 26 to 8.30 am next day.

On day three, light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at a few places in several districts of the State. The IMD warned thunderstorm with gutsy wind and lightning to occur in Sundergarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh and Khurda, it added.

Similarly, one or two places over in several coastal districts in the State will receive light to moderate rainfall on February 28, the IMD predicted.
