IMD predicts rainfall in these Odisha districts from March 2

Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning is again likely to sweep various parts of the state from March 2.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre today issued Yellow warning for five districts of the state from 8.30 am on March 2 till 8.30 am on March 3. As per a bulletin issued by the MeT centre, thunderstorm along with lightning and light to moderate rain is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati and Balasore. Besides, dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest district of the state.     

From 8.30 am on March 3 till  8.30 am on March 4, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Rayagada. Besides, dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts.

Meanwhile, the weathermen predicted that dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Cuttack, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Kandhamal, Balangir and Kalahandi till 8.30 am on February 29.

The MeT centre predicted that minimum temperature is very likely to be below normal by 3-4 degree Celsius over the districts of the state in the next two to three days. And, the maximum temperature is likely to gradually rise by 2-4 degree Celsius during the next two to four days. Yesterday, Malkangiri recorded the highest maximum temperature of 35 degree Celsius while Angul recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 10 degree Celsius.
