Puranjay Behera, vice president (Mining), Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), was honoured with ‘Best Executive1 for the year 2014-15 among all participating mines under Bhubaneswar region on the occasion of 32^nd Odisha Mettalliferous Mines Safety Week celebration.

The Annual Mines Safety Week of Bhubaneswar Region is being celebrated under the banner of Odisha Metalliferous Mines Safety Week Celebration Committee (OMMSWCC) under the aegis of Directorate General of Mines Safety.

This year’s safety week was observed during 10th November to 22nd November.

Behera was earlier awarded as ‘Paryavaran Bandhu Award1 by the Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM) for his excellent contribution towards sustainable development for environment protection in the year 2006-07.

The concluding celebration was held at the grounds of OMC Community Centre at Kaliapani on December 7 in which Sukinda MLA and working President of Sukinda Region Chromite Khadan Majdoor Sangh (SRCKMS) Priti Ranjan Ghadai was the chief guest.
