IMI to tie up with CBS, Denmark for research centre in city

Bhubaneswar, July 9:

International Management Institute (IMI), Bhubaneswar is planning to set up a joint research centre with Copenhagen Business School (CBS) in Denmark and start decision-making programmes in the areas of innovation and strategy.

IMI Bhubaneswar is also in active discussions with CBS for a student exchange programme with a view to give its students the international perspective.

This was informed by Prof Ramesh Behl, director of IMI Bhubaneswar today after a discussion on the plan to set up the research centre with Dr Sudhanshu Rai, Director-Indian Relations and Professor of Innovation in emerging economics at CBS, Denmark.

Dr Rai delivered a talk on the topic ‘Innovation, past, present and future-how emerging economies are changing the notions of innovation’ in the institute. He pointed out that innovation can only be carried out when it is given its own space. He also emphasised that true innovation is not about following the concepts but about generating new ideas.

On the topic Prof. Behl talked on the importance of innovation in the present scenario of the industry and business and our day-to-day life too.
