IMS Academy launched at KIIT in Odisha

Tech Mahindra in association with Odisha’s KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, today initiated the process for setting up of IMS (Infrastructure Management Services) Academy at the KIIT campus.

KIIT IMSThe tie-up with KIIT is the first of its kind in the eastern part of the country and would help students to be fully prepared to meet industry requirements with the right level of skills and aptitude.

The IMS Academy will provide a range of training facilities in various domains of Infrastructure services to meet the growing needs of the industry. Besides, the students can also be trained by the IMS while pursuing their respective courses at their respective institutions.

The Tech Mahindra officials including Dr Raju Wadalkar, CTO (Telecom), Duraivel A Gopal, VP-IMS, Jothiganesh N, VP-IMS, JVS Prasad, Group Practice Head-IMS and Sita Manukumar, Practice Head, Academic Relations, were present at the inaugural function.

KIIT University, Bhubaneswar was represented by Dr Achyut Samanta, founder (KIIT & KISS), Prof PP Mathur vice chancellor, KIIT University and Dr Sasmita Samanta, Registrar along with deans, directors and senior faculty members.

As the global IT IMS segment has shown enormous growth and is expected to grow significantly over the decade, there is a need for availability of skilled resources.

As a step in this direction, Tech Mahindra’s IMS Academy has been supporting universities in the country by providing training material, faculty from the industry and simulation labs since 2011.
