In Pics: All you need to know about musical laser show at Odisha’s Bindusagar

Bhubaneswar: The famed Bindusagar Lake in Old Town area of Odisha capital resounded with chanting of Lord Shiva amidst scintillating jet streams of water. The banks of Bindusagar flooded with locals who watched in awe as the much-awaited musical fountain and multimedia laser show was thrown open to public last evening.

The official name of this vibrant initiative by Odisha Tourism is: Bindusagar Musical Fountain and Laser Show.

This dazzling show is scheduled to be held for all seven days of the week.

There is no requirement of booking tickets to watch the show. The show will be held in the evening and so far, there is no official confirmation regarding the timings.

There is no seating arrangement. Viewers can stand or sit on the stairs adjacent to the banks of the lake to watch the show.

The show is in two segments of 20-minute duration each. The duration is slated to be longer in the future.

The music consists of verses from Shiva Tandav and the laser sequences depict Shiva Tandav and Nataraj among other themes.

The Odisha govt. has spent nearly seven crores for this initiative, supported by IDCO.

Premier World Technology Limited is at the helm of managing this show and has appointed two operators at the venue for its smooth operation.

Electrification of nearby temples has also been done to enhance the light effects of this show.

The trial run of the show was held on Oct 28. Social media has been abuzz with the audience uploading pictures and videos of the show.

Odisha CM Naveen Patnnaik inaugurated the event last evening in the presence of Tourism Minister Ashok Chandra Panda, Member of Parliament Prasanna Patasani, Bhubaneswar MLAs Bijay Mohanty and Priyadarshi Mishra, Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena, Deputy Mayor K Shanti and Corporator Rashmita Mohapatra.
