In pics: Rivers in spate, communication cut off as heavy rains pound interior Odisha

Kalyansinghpur/Bhawanipatna: Scores of people in Odisha’s Rayagada and Kalahandi districts have been affected due to torrential rains in the last 24 hours leading to flood-like situation.

Kalyansinghpur block in Rayagada district is the worst-affected where many villages have been marooned.

In the wake of the alarming situation, the state government has put the district administration on alert.

In Rayagada, Nagavali and Kalyani rivers are in spate whereas the Hati river of Junagarh in Kalahandi district has swelled leading to inundating.
