In pursuit of beehive, bear gets trapped in tree branches in Odisha

Nightly forage for food landed a wild bear in trouble as it got trapped in tree branches in Odisha’s Deogarh district.

As per reports, villagers spotted a bear stuck in the branches at Chadheimara village under Riamal block in the district this morning.

The carnivoran animal reportedly climbed on to the tree chasing a beehive atop a mango tree. While climbing up the tree, it got trapped in the branches last night. The villagers, who had gone to the forest to pick firewood and forest produces, spotted the wild animal this morning.

The locals informed the forest officials who rescued it this morning. Soon after the branches were chopped off, it ran into the wild.
