In view of dense fog alert, 11 districts directed to take steps to avoid NH mishap

Bhubaneswar: As the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted dense fog in 11 districts of Odisha tomorrow morning, the Special Relief Commissioner’s (SRC) office asked the administration of these districts to take measures to avoid road mishap on highways.

The SRC office in its advisory directed police and transport officials of these districts to take necessary steps to control plying of vehicles on highways during dense fog to avoid any road accident.

As per the weather bulletin issued by the IMD, dense fog will occur at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Malkangiri and Koraput districts on December 27 morning.

The highest maximum temperature of 29.8 degrees Celsius was recorded at Balangir and the lowest minimum temperature of 11 degrees Celsius was recorded at Sundargarh in Odisha.
