Ind vs WI ODI: Here’s traffic advisory in Cuttack

Cuttack: In view of heavy crowd for the upcoming final One Day International (ODI) cricket match between India and West Indies scheduled at Barabati Stadium on December 22 in Cuttack, the Twin City Police Commissionerate has issued an advisory for free movement of vehicular traffic on the match day in Silver City.

As per traffic regulation plan, the vehicles coming through the Ring Road from the side of Mata Matha, will be diverted to the right at the Gadaa before the Gadagadia Temple and will be parked at the Lower Bali Jatra Ground. The pass bearer vehicles on this route through Gada Gadeswar Temple, will be diverted to the left at Bamboo Dipo Gadaa and will be parked at Old Bali Jatra Ground.

The vehicles coming from Howrah Motor Chhak and Gaudagadaa will be diverted to the right towards the Ring Road, before the Bungalow of Chief Justice of Orissa High Court and will be parked at Lower Bali Jatra Ground. These vehicles will be prohibited to enter directly towards Akash Vani Kendra.

Similarly, the vehicles coming from Biju Patnaik Chhak will not be allowed to enter towards Barabati Stadium from the side of PHD office. These vehicles can be parked at the parking place at Daya Sharma School.

The vehicles coming from Biju Patnaik Chhak or Madhusudan Nagar will be parked on the ground near Ananda Bhawan Chhak. These vehicles are prohibited to enter towards Bali Jatra Ground or Champa Bana Road through the District Port.

Moreover, the vehicles coming from the side of Deer Park or Madhusudan Nagar through the Ring Road towards the Gada Gadeswar Temple will be diverted towards the left at Kartikeswar Gadaa and parked on the place meant for the parking.

The vehicles coming from Chandi Chhak will be prohibited to enter into the Barabati Stadium Chhak straight through the PHD Office Chhak. These vehicles will be diverted to the left and will be parked at Daya Ashram Road.

However, no vehicle will be allowed towards Income Tax Bhawan via Hanuman Temple Chhak from Samaj Office Chhak. The vehicular traffic from Samaj Office area will be allowed to proceed to Daya Ashram parking place via Chandi Chhak. The vehicles having passes to park at OCA Ground can move towards Sangeet Vidyalaya and divert to left for parking at OCA Ground.

The vehicles coming from Reserve Police Line will be prohibited to enter towards Barabati Stadium from the side of Odisha Police Association (OPA) Chhak. No vehicle can enter straight towards the cricket venue from Madhusudan Chhak.

Similarly, no vehicle through Kilikhan Road can move towards Barabati Stadium from the Director of Industry Chhak. The vehicles from this area can only enter towards Kala Vikas Kendra.

For the convenience of general public other than the spectators visiting Barabati Stadium for the 3rd ODI, the Commissionerate Police advised people to follow the route towards Chandi Chhak and avoid the route towards Nari Seva Sadan from the side of Samaj Office Chhak.

The commuters were advised to follow the route towards Howrah Motor Chhak and avoid the route of Gadagadia Temple from the side of Mata Matha Chhak through the Ring Road.

They should avoid the route of Daya Ashram Road from Biju Patnaik Chhak, rather they should follow the route towards Kanika Chhak from Biju Patnaik Chhak, the Commissionerate Police said.

Also, the route of Barabati Stadium Road from Chandi Chhak should be avoided. Rather, the route towards Baxi Bazaar or Kanika Chhak should be followed.

The traffic regulatory system will remain in force from 8.00 am till end of the match on December 22.
