India today won the Indo-Japan Hockey Series as they beat the visitors by 2-1 goals in the last game of the three-match test series at Kalinga Stadium in the Odisha capital this evening.
The hosts took the lead in the first half through a penalty corner by Raghunath in the 30th minute.
Six minutes later, Akashdeep Singh increased the lead for his team through a brilliant field goal.
The visitors scored the first goal through Hirotaka Wakari who converted a penalty corner in the 44th minute.
