Bhubaneswar: The Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) today test-fired indigenously developed Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile (QRSAM) from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur.

As per reports, the missile was test-fired from the ITR’s launch pad no-3 at 4:20 PM.

The missile, which can be mounted on a truck and stored in a canister, is equipped with electronic counter measures against jamming by aircraft radars.
QRSAM uses solid-fuel propellant and has a range of 25-30 km.

The first trial of the QSRAM was conducted on June 4, 2017.

Two rounds of trials were successfully carried out on February 26, 2019. Later it was tested on August 4, 2019.

The all-weather and all-terrain QRSAM system has been developed for the Army.
