An injured deer was rescued by forest officials from Puri-Konark road today.
According to reports, Balukhand forest range officials rescued a six-month-old deer with severe injuries on its back.
The deer is suspected to have encountered a road accident.
Following treatment, the health condition of the animal is stated to be stable, informed a forest official.
Notably, forest officials had rescued another deer from Bata Mangala Temple premises which had strayed into a village in search of food on Tuesday.
Later, it was kept on the temple premises.
