Pattanayak was unavailable to make any comment in this regard.

Congress sources said that the party workers, who were dissatisfied over 'massive irregularities' by the party in the distribution of tickets for the General Elections to Assembly and Lok Sabha seats in Odisha, might be involved in this act.

Worth mentioning, the Congress lost the 2024 elections winning only 14 Assembly seats and retaining one Lok Sabha seats in Odisha.
