Dhenkanal: Girl inmates of a shelter home in Odisha's Dhenkanal district have accused its chief of sexually harassing them.

The serious allegation has been levelled against Fayaz Rahman, head of 'Good News India', an NGO that runs the shelter home located at Belatigiri here.

The girls have alleged that he touched them inappropriately besides sexually harassing them. They have also alleged of being tortured mentally and physically at the shelter home.

A boy inmate said they are often referred as 'dogs' and 'beggars' and ill-treated at the shelter home.

Sources said the shelter home is located at a secluded place and has been functioning for the last two years.
