Inside pics of Puri Jagannath Temple go viral again

Puri: The inside pictures of the Jagannath Temple in Puri went viral on social media again  exposing poor frisking at entrance points of the centuries old shrine.

The lapses in security came to fore after two photographs clicked inside from Dakshina Dwar (south gate) of the Srimandir were circulated on Instagram, the photo and video sharing social networking site.

The photographs were posted by the Instagram user Shalini Passi on her profile on February 3, 2021. With the circulation of the inner photos of Puri Srimandir on the social media, it went viral.

Speaking on the matter, Srimandir Security Administrator said that the probe into the incident will start and a complaint in this regard will be lodged at the Singhadwar Police Station soon.

Though mobile phones and camera are banned in the Jagannath Temple, a series of similar violations of restriction has been made allegedly by devotees as well as servitors  in past.
