Inspire people to follow COVID-19 guidelines: Odisha CM to BJD MLAs

Bhubaneswar: Calling on the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MLAs to serve the people of Odisha better, Chief Minister and the party President Naveen Patnaik asked the legislators to inspire party workers and people to follow COVID-19 guidelines.

During the first virtual meeting with BJD legislators after the lockdown was enforced in the third week of March, Patnaik directed them to be with people in this time of pandemic and take care of themselves and their families.

“You are very important. People have reposed faith in your leadership. In your every act, every move, every step you should inspire our workers and people at large to follow Covid guidelines and take care of themselves and their families,” the CM said to the MLAs.

Also, he emphasised on scaling up the party’s Jeevan Bindu blood donation programme. “Our workers in every village should volunteer in all Covid related programmes,” the CM said.

“Elderly people are most vulnerable. We must take care of them,” Patnaik added.

He asked the MLAs to spread awareness on mask and social distancing. Avoid public gatherings and use other methods to connect using technology, Patnaik added.
