Bhubaneswar: With prevailing intense heatwave conditions across Odisha, mercury touched 46 degree C in Balasore, making it as the hottest place followed by Bhubaneswar today.
By 2.30 PM today, Balasore recorded 46 degree C, which is the highest-ever day temperature in the month of April. The place had crossed 44 degree C by 11.30 AM today, while Bhubaneswar stood at 43.6 degree C, Jharsuguda at 42.5 degree C, Keonjhar at 41.4 degree C, Chandbali at 41.2 degree C and Rourkela at 40.4 degree C.
For the first time this summer, the day temperature crossed 45 degree in Bhubaneswar. By 2.30 PM today, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 45.4 degree C, becoming the second hottest place in Odisha.
