Internal assessment for Class 11, 12 students in Odisha; see details

Bhubaneswar: With an aim to lessen pressure on Class 11 and 12 students, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) decided to introduce internal assessment system for them. During a meeting today at the council office in Bhubaneswar it was decided that the students will appear four exams in each year, informed Tushar Kanti Tripathy, CHSE Secretary.

He further stated Class 11 students will appear three internal exams and one annual exam. The junior colleges will conduct the four exams for Class 11 students.

Similarly, Class 12 students will appear three internal exams conducted by the junior colleges. However, the final annual exam for the students will be done by CHSE, he added.

Like last year, Class 11 and 12 students will study the reduced 70% syllabus in view of the pandemic.

Tripathy added the proposals on the internal assessment system have been sent to the State government for final approval.
