Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today effected a reshuffle in the IPS cadre of the state by transferring at least five officials.
Shefeen Ahmed K. (2003-batch IPS officer), presently working as Inspector General of Police (IGP) at Human Rights Protection Cell (HRPC) of Odisha police, has been transferred and posted as the IGP of CID, Crime Branch, said a notification issued by the Home department today.
Sarthak Sarangi (2007-batch IPS officer), who is now working as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police at Odisha police headquarters, has been shifted and posted as the DIG, Fire Services and Home Guard.
As per the notification, 2008-batch IPS officer Satyajit Nayak, presently working as DIG police, computer, has been transferred and posted as DIG police, HRPC.
Jugal Kishore Kumar Banoth (2011-batch IPS officer), who is now working as Superintendent of Police (SP) in Cuttack, has been transferred and appointed as AIG, police headquarters.
Rahul Jain (2015-batch IPS officer), who is now working as SP, police headquarters, has been shifted and posted as SP, Nayagarh.
According to the notification, Mihir Kumar Panda (OPS), presently working as DCP, special crime unit at Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police, has been shifted and posted as SP, Cuttack.
