IT raid on liquor trader’s properties in Odisha’s Rayagada

Bhubaneswar: Officials of the Income Tax (IT) department raided the properties of a liquor trader in Rayagada district of Odisha today.

A five-member team of the IT department raided the residence, office and a hotel of liquor trader Arvind Sahu in Rayagada over suspicions of tax evasion, sources said.

The IT officials accompanied by armed police conducted simultaneous raids on the properties of Sahu and a few of his relatives today, they added.

However, the IT officials refused to divulge anything regarding the raids.
