Income Tax (IT) department officials raided mining firm Yazdani Steel & Power Limited for the third consecutive day today.

According to reports, IT department today seized 3 kg gold from a bank locker of the firm. IT department has informed that it will open eight more bank lockers of the firm.

Raids are being conducted on the firm's offices and premises since it has evaded income tax for the last six years, reports added.

Reports further said that huge quantity of gold was seized during raids on the mining firm’s nine bank lockers on Thursday.

The Income Tax department has raided ten places including Serajuddin And Co. Private Limited’s Joda, Bhubaneswar and Kolkata offices, the proprietor’s residence and the firm’s mining operations at Balda, reports added.
