ITIs, polytechnics in Odisha to reopen from tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: For the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic, students of ITIs, polytechnics and technical education institutions will attend physical classes from tomorrow. Minister for Skill Development and Technical Education, Premananda Naik today announced the technical education institutions will reopen for final year students only from August 9.

He further stated the students will attend physical classes while adhering to Covid protocols. Use of mask and sanitiser will be compulsory on the premises of the technical education institutions.

If any institution fails to follow the Covid protocol, stringent action will be taken against the violator.

Decision on allowing physical classes for students other than the final year will be taken later after assessing the situation, the Minister added.
