While the ASI has stated in the affidavit that complete repair of the pillars will be completed by November this year, the pocket framing work will be finished by April next year, court sources revealed.

Earlier on August 29, the ASI had admitted before the High Court that progress has been tardy in the repair of the Jagamohana.

Following which the High Court had directed the ASI to submit an affidavit by when repair work would be completed.

The Court had also directed the Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Puri Collector and the petitioner to apprise it through an affidavit whether the work completed so far was satisfactory or not and what other works were needed to be done.

The court had issued the directives while conducting a hearing on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on the matter pertaining to the status of progress made in the repair of the Jagamohana.
