JE claims one more life in Odisha's Malkangiri; toll reaches 119

Malkangiri, Nov 30:

The killer Japanese Encephalitis (JE) claimed life of one more child in Odisha's Malkangiri taking the unofficial death toll in the vector-borne disease in the district to 119.

The deceased was identified as Abhi Kumbhar (2) of Pitageta village under Korukonda block in the district. The child succumbed while undergoing treatment at the district headquarters hospital, sources said.

The official death toll in Japanese Encephalitis stands at 102 in Malkangiri.
