Malkangiri Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy inaugurated the vaccination drive against Japanese Encephalitis (JE) in the district today.

As many as 2.18 lakh children aged between 1 and 15 years have been identified to be vaccinated.

The vaccination drive will be carried out for 15 days during which the children would be vaccinated from 8 AM to 3 PM everyday.

A total of 175 teams have been formed for this purpose.

Notably, the killer Japanese Encephalitis has so far claimed lives of nearly 120 children in Malkangiri.
