Bhubaneswar: JioPhone 2, the second edition of Reliance Jio’s 4G feature phone will be made available through a flash sale tomorrow (August 16).

Customers are advised to log on to Jio.com around noon tomorrow to avail the phone at Rs 2,999.

Earlier in July, the company had announced that the high-end feature phone will be made available from August 15. JioPhone 2 has features like 2.4-inch screen, Qwerty keyboard, 2000 mAh battery, 512 MB RAM and 4GB internal memory.

On the occasion of Independence Day, Reliance Jio announced that JioPhone and JioPhone 2 users will now be able to download Facebook, YouTube and Google Maps from Jio store. However, WhatsApp would be made available in the phones later.

Besides, Reliance Jio today began registrations for its Jio GigaFiber broadband connection. The all-in-one service includes access to a router and JioGigaTV. The Jio GigaRouter will provide high-speed internet connectivity with speeds up to 1Gbps while JioGigaTV set-up-box will give its users access to over 600 channels, thousands of movies, and millions of songs.

People can register for the broadband service through MyJio app or Jio.com free of cost. Though Jio has not announced the tariff for the service, reports claim the service could start at Rs 500 per month before Diwali.
