Bhubaneswar: US pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson's single dose COVID-19 vaccine received approval for emergency use in India.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya informed it in a tweet today.

Johnson and Johnson’s single-dose COVID-19 vaccine is given approval for Emergency Use in India.
Now India has 5 EUA vaccines.

With the approval, it became the fifth vaccine received nod from the Government of India after Covishield, Covaxin, Sputnik V and Moderna in fight against COVID-19.
The vaccine will be brought to India through a collaboration with Hyderabad-based biotechnology and biopharmaceutical company Biological E Limited.
On August 5, the American pharma major Johnson & Johnson Pvt. Ltd had applied for emergency use authorization of its single dose COVID-19 vaccine to the Government of India.
