Ganjam: A journalist died reportedly due to COVID-19 in Odisha. As per reports, the journalist was undergoing treatment at KIMS COVID hospital in Bhubaneswar for past few days.

The journalist, identified as Priyadarshi Patnaik was a resident of Hinjili area in Ganjam district. He was working with regional daily 'The Samaja'.

The government is yet to make any confirmation about the journalist’s death.

Till now, a total of 3,634 persons have contracted the deadly virus. While 36 patients died of COVID-19, one died of diseases other than coronavirus.
