JP Nadda on two-day visit to Odisha; here’s schedule

Bhubaneswar: BJP national president JP Nadda is on a two-day trip to Odisha from today. He received a warm welcome at Bhubaneswar airport after he reached here.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Odisha BJP president Sameer Mohanty, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi and other key members of the party welcomed Nadda at the airport.

The BJP chief was taken to the party’s state headquarters in a grand procession from the airport after he arrived in Bhubaneswar for party’s various official programmes.

As per the schedule, Nadda will address a mass gathering at Janata Maidan in the afternoon.

Sources said that representatives of around 25,000 booths will attend the programme at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar. After the public event, he is likely to discuss the political strategy with the party’s senior leaders, MLAs and MPs for 2024 general elections.

During his 2-day visit, Nadda is scheduled to visit Puri at 8 pm tonight. He will be felicitated by the district BJP during a programme at Atharnala. After offering prayer at the Jagannath Temple tomorrow morning, he will head to Dhamnagar in Bhadrak district in a chopper to pay condolence over untimely passing of MLA Bishnu Charan Sethi. Later, he will attend an inauguration programme of a 100-bed hospital at Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR) at Adaspur in Cuttack district. He is scheduled to attend a party programme at Janata Maidan tomorrow again.
