Cuttack, July 1 :
Junior doctors in all the three government medical colleges in Odisha will boycott work from Thursday in protest against the inaction and indifference of the state government over the allegations of sexual harassment of fellow women junior doctors by a senior professor of the SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMH) here.
The decision was taken at a general body meeting of the junior doctors on Monday, sources said.
The junior doctors are angry over the fact that despite repeated petitions, the authorities of the SCBMH and the state Health department have refused to take disciplinary action against the head of the SCBMH's Pathology department, who has been accused of sexually harassment by a number of women junior doctors.
According to the sources, the junior doctors of the MKCG Medical College in Brahmapur and VSS Medical Collge in Burla will also join the boycott.
